sxsw 2003

Once again, Splendid has bundled up a handful of writers and dragged our whole operation down to Austin, Texas, Batman-style, for our curiously-skewed coverage of South By Southwest 2003.

George, Jason and Jennifer have joined Andrew down in Austin. We're holed up smack in the middle of everything, geared to bring you all the fascinating (or, inevitably, not-so-fascinating) details of the days and nights of SXSW, complete with -- ahem -- thrilling full-color photos. We've got press passes and we're gonna use 'em.

Reports for all days are now live, but may be updated again before the end of March, 2003.

Extra: This year we invited one of our favorite singer-songwriters, Bill Foreman, to join us at SXSW. We also challenged him to follow in Mary Lou Lord's footsteps. No, we didn't ask him to screw up his life with addictions and unplanned pregnancy; we asked him to busk (play on the sidewalk) and write about his experiences. Read about them here.
