		While the Techno Animal moniker is certainly not the most becoming of names, we'll ignore it and focus on its concussive form of drum and bass instead. This force majeure of electronica and industrial reaps the benefits of both genres, as the deft combination of throbbing bass, intermittent, swooshing keyboard interjections and mangling, distorted drum lines defines the essence of Techno Animal. This compilation of sorts collects various 12"s and performs a variety of remixes on them, resulting in the collective work of Radio Hades that is not only a fine Techno Animal primer, but also a necessity for the rabid fan. "Intercranial" may cause slight hemorrhaging with its ear battering percussion, but "Bass Concussion" is sure to do the same plus severe damage to the neighbors with its sonic wave disrupting keyboards. Radio Hades may be too intense to listen all the way through in a single sitting, but strong doses of its churning ambience and stratifying rhythms are well worth the potentially hazardous experience. Here's an invigorating compilation that is an effective introduction to the enigmatic Techno Animal and its deranged and disturbing forms of drum and bass. Recommended.
