If you're looking for hot Korean fusion bands your search is over! Net is the best one I've heard. Take a measure of Bootsy Collins funk-bass, blend in hip keyboard stylings reminiscent of RTF-era Corea and pour over a framework of crisp, rock drum beats and 99 mhz and higher... will emerge. I can't understand the lyrics but I'm sure they are brilliant and anyway, they sound cool! The highlights of the album are the fiery "99 MHz", and the hip-hoppy "net (ID:BiHong@net.net)". The guitar-driven fury of "Flight 007" is a latin treat playing slightly off of the James Bond theme. While Net is at its best in groove-driven pyrotechnics, there are a couple of ballads on 99 mhz and higher... ("You Are The One" and "X-Mas") which are not bad, particularly in the hookiness of their respective choruses. Go on, get on the K-Funk bandwagon, get a copy of this disc and I promise you'll be the only kid on your block with one (unless you live in Seoul!).
